Solve : System restore folders?

Answer»

Did multiple restores on Windows XP professional before I got it to work again. Did defrag and noticed that I had more files than before. When defrag complete seemed that there were more files than when I started the defrag session.. Did a virus scan and definitely more files on the C drive. Went to System Volume Information on Local Disk C and saw batch of folders of the restores. Most were in blue font, the older ONES and a few were in black font, the LATEST one. Can I delete the blue font folders or will they go AWAY on their own?

ThanksIf you have a complete backup of the system you can safely delete them...
You may want to look into an imaging backup App such as Acronis True Image. You can ADJUST the amount of disk space System Restore uses if you Right Click My Computer and go to Properties.
