Answer» Everytime I reboot my computer the C:\WINDOWS\system32 FOLDER window OPENS. Is it trying to tell me something is wrong. If I just close it everything is fine. What operating system are you using? What antivirus and antispyware protection do you have installed?
When you go into your start menu, under programs and under "Startup Items", what is listed there? I use XPsp2 with AVG as virus protection. Listed in my Start up is Erunt AutoBackup, AutoCAD Startup Accelerator and 4 Adobe startups (Assist, Gamma, Reader and Reader Syc). My msconfig startup as a couple of Rundll32.exe's with system32 in the path. They appear to be part of the nvidia driver upgrade I just did. I have been doing some codec changes COULD that be the culprit. Codec to me is an inigma and I am not sure I have all that I need or too much. thanks Is there an Audigy2 sound card in this machine ? ?Yes there is an Creative Audigy2 card in it. Scroll down to item #260 listed on the left...if you read the right column you will see what you need...double clik this and choose "Save to disk".
Now find the file wherever your DLoads go or on the Desktop if thats where they land and FOLLOW the instructions below.
It will show a brief success message. When that's done reboot and you are fixed.
