Answer» I'm STILL having problems accessing a folder called "documents", access is denied, despite the fact that i am the only user on this computer and have administrator capabilites. I 've looked on the microsoft website and it seems taking ownership of the file may work.
There are directions on how to do this on the following link:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=308421
However i can't follow these as when i open folder properties there is no security tab, or any other way of accessing ownership as far as i can see.
Any ideas?Did you remember to do this in safemode as is recommended ? ?
To enter safemode you need to tap the F8 key repeatedly as the machine is powering up...THANKS, still, the security tab it TELLS me to click on isnt there! Are you using XP Home or Pro ? ?
The only thing i can think of if it's XP Pro there might be encryption on that folder which if you don't remember the password you are in trouble...xp home, the WEIRD thing is, the file was created before i bought my computer! There's nothing i need access to in the file, but for seem reason 4od needs access to it to install.I personally don't trust programs that plave inaccessible files/folders on my machine...
Is 4od for the TV SERVICE in the U.K. ? ?
Their site has a troubleshooting and FAQ page that may be of some help...
