Solve : Taking ownership of Windows 7 Files using XP?

Answer»

Okay

Installed Win_7 on a completely separate HDD (seems to WORK ok except possible USB Pen drive corrption and failure to recognise a old PROMISE RAID Card

Issue is

When I hooked up the Win_7 Drive (as a slave) to my MAIN XP install I can't get the Owner tab in the sharing and security context menu of the Documents and Settings folder of the Win_7 install. So I took ownership of the whole drive. Now I just get an error saying that folder inaccessible!

So does this mean anyone with a failed MB is now f****d?

CHECK this:

also try using the same username/password on BOTH SYSTEMS...

Good Luck
