When i play computer games, the whole screen used to be taken up by the game. Now for some reason i`ve got the taskbar showing below the screen that i cant get rid of. This annoyingly means when i move the mouse in the game, it can freeze the game & go into the desktop. How do i stop this from happening & get rid of the taskbar? I would say there is a setting within the game application that allows you to SHOW or hide the TASK bar......(just maybe) Read up on the game documentation and see if there is anything you can do to RESET the settings to default.......

If you cannot find anything within the game application to adjust this setting, you could work around the problem and right-click on the task bar in Windows>select properties>and check the box that says, "auto-hide the task bar"... This way, when you are not using the task bar it is always hidden...unless you move the mouse point to the very bottom of the screen...........however, I don't know if this well prevent the desktop from appearing, when you accidentally move the mouse..Unlock the Taskbar and set it to auto-hide...whenever this happens to me, I'm usually able to ALT tab from and back to the game to get rid of the taskbar. Usually just clicking on the game WORKS, though.You can also try pressing ALT + Enter to enter full screen mode.Pressing alt+enter works
