When I have several programs running, in ORDER to SWITCH from one to the other i have to minimize each TIME rather than click on the one i want on the taskbar - this is because the taskbar disappears when i have more than one program running.....how do i get it back?

Do you have your taskbar set to "auto-hide"? If you don't know, this should help: http://www.xp-tips.com/auto-hide-taskbar.html
Also, are you familiar with how Alt/Tab can be used to sequence through open applications? Keyboard shortcuts for WindowsIt may not be on auto-hide, but make SURE that the "Keep taskbar on top of windows" is checked.
