There is an article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base that concerns the symptoms you experience. Chkdsk Runs Each Time That You Start Your Computer Read the article and follow the instructions given. See if they help or not. Also, download the attachment and extract the file within it. Double-click on the extracted file and answer Yes to the following prompt. You will receive a confirmation dialog box. Acknowledge the prompt by clicking OK and reboot the computer. See if the Checkdisk still runs on every boot or not. LET us know how it goes.
