Solve : the display on my laptop dpoesnt come on?

When I boot up the computer the display doesnt come on but the lights on the case come on. However when I bend the screen or yank it, the display comes on

One thing I could try is to SEE if there is display on an external monitor when I conect it to the laptop. If so then maybe I just have to toggle the display from the external monitor back to the laptop monitor\

Second thing is that I could open the case and see whether the connector cable is loose.

Is there anything else I can check

That's NOT GOOD at all, and indicates hardware PROBLEMS to the display inside the laptop.

I recommend taking it to a repair shop.
