Answer» A friends laptop, used at home, she GOT it from her office where * was the domain. She WUD use it at home, and login using her user name and password and with the domain set as But now for some reason i do not know, it says: The System cannot log you on now because the domain * is not available I do have the User name and Password. Any clues .. also, is it related to cached logons or SOMETHING. Additionally how can i disable the network logon dialogThe machine is a member of a domain and this login can't be by-passed. The cached login information can be set to not be SAVED forcing the machine to authentcate to the domain everytime you login. This is what you have with this machine. If you know the LOCAL account information on the machine you can login using one of those accounts. But you will not have access to the network or any of the data.
