Solve : Thumbnail View Pictures?

Answer»

The other day I realized if I change the contents of "My Files" to Thumbnail view I can change the folder icon to a picture representing what's in the folder.

I downloaded pictures to "My Pictures" and for several folders chose photos or other pictures, applying and saving each change.

I don't understand why sometimes a folder reverts to the folder icon.  I haven't yet determined if it happens when I make changes to a file in the folder.

I also don't understand why there's a difference between the ORDER and icon image depending on WHETHER I access a file through "My Documents" and "My Computer - - My Name's" documents.  I ALWAYS log in to the computer as myself.  The only time anything is ADDED to my husband's files is if I log in as him and put them there.  His files are visible to me when I'm logged in as myself.  The only thing in our "Shared Documents" are folders that get generated automatically with Windows (sample pictures, sample video, sample music).

How can I get the icon pictures on my folders to STAY put?

How can I get My Documents and My Name's Documents folders to be the same?

By default, folders appear in Microsoft Windows as folder icons or as pictures that are contained in the folder. (When folders appear as pictures, you are viewing them in "Thumbnails" view.)
