Answer» Hey everyone,
I've been thinking for a awhile and trying to find out if there is a way to make a sideshow folder Picture.. what I mean is, I have pictures in a folder and if you go back a folder and set the view to thumbnail it picks a picture from the folder and displays it on the folder, is there a way for that display to switch pictures at a set or RANDOM time ?...I would like it to be a lot like a Sideshow but for the folder thumbnail instead...also I want it to be able to change the picture without me having to leave and go back, I would like it to do it real time.I don't think Windows XP has the ability to do what your asking without 3rd party help. I would suggest you do a google search for a small program that will do your bidding. I did a quick search for you but did'nt have much LUCK. Another possibility...There MIGHT be a registry hack that will let you do what you want but I am only guessing. Good luck.

QuoteXP Help and Support:
"To change the appearance of a single folder Open My Documents. Right-click the folder you want to customize, and then click Properties. On the Customize tab, do one or all of the following: Select a folder TEMPLATE
When you choose a template from Use this folder type as a template, you apply specific features to your folder, such as specialized task links and viewing options for working with pictures and music.
To apply a folder template to all of the folders contained within your customized folder, select the Also apply this template to all subfolders check box.
Choose a picture for your folder
You can choose the picture that identifies a folder in Thumbnails view.
When you click:
Choose Picture, you can find the picture you want to use to identify the folder. Restore Default, the last four image files you modified in the folder will be used to identify it. Change the folder icon
Click Change Icon to change the graphic that represents the folder in all views except Thumbnail view."
