Solve : Too many copies of win Xp on drive?

Answer»

My AMD had a problem and we tried to FIX it... A suggestion to reinstall Win Xp via Cd, offering the potential of a repair option while loading, was taken up and now I have three copies on the hard drive!!!
Can someone tell me how I can remove the two other copies... or at least one off the drive so I can continue trying to fix the ADMINISTRATOR problem?I'd consider backing up what you need doing a full wipe and a clean install...
Collect your Drivers beforehand. Thanks Patio, I totally agree.

That was my decision after evilfantasy helped me with the virus problem that didnt go away.

Now .. lets look at this formatting thing then, first, Am I in the right area, are there any forum tips links or FAQ Database sheets for me to read? This will help relieve the work load for volunteers/helpers.

2, This backing up thing, (never done it before and the FEBE BACKUP you helped me with, sorry didnt fully UNDERSTAND it , tried it, backed up something but?) well anyway,... I have a couple of programs that cost me a lot of money, its a single use, eg licence program as far as I know, how can I copy/save /keep intact/ move somewhere else/etc..

3 will formatting the drive alter things like the location of saved files?

I have a headache (seriously, a real one) going to bed right now.
So THANK you for your help and assistance.
Imnoguru.
