Answer» I was on my LAPTOP plugged-in and charging, when all of a sudden the whole thing went black. No LIGHTS at all VISIBLE. A pal of mine said to remove the battery and re-insert after a couple minutes. I did and no luck. Is the laptop dead in the water? The battery is a replacement for the original, and is about 6 months old. The laptop is about 4 years old.Is the battery a "generic" replacement ...or OEM ? ? Does it work on AC power only ?It's generic. If just the battery tanked, would none of the lites LIGHT up, even though it's plugged in and charging?Answer question # 2...It did work on both battery or plugged in to ACOne more time...
