ok so i have this toshiba satellite a40 that needs to be reinstalled but i no longer have the recovery disks. Is there a hidden partition on the driver for back-up if so how do i get the computer to recover to factory defualts?

512 mb ram

They will send out new discs...normally for just the cost of shipping.already did that they WANT $40 for the recovery disks. is it worth it? I mean I downloaded the DRIVERS and i have win xp home disks? Only you can decide that...I'll just install my own, im sort on money right nowWhat must it be reinstalled? Any WINDOWS Disc should be able to do that.

Btw you should be able to find parItion information in Disk Management, if that helps.thanks Ill TRY that before i reinstall, were can i find disk management in accesories? Not on a Windows machine ATM, but I BELIEVE you right click My Computer and click Manage.
