Solve : Totally do not understand computers but am afraid I have a problem..?

Answer»

Hello - today when I got home and turned on my computer I could not GET to my yahoo mail, thought that was odd, only get a screen that says hi michelle and a search box.  When I went to facebook I just get the box, empty with a search box. When I went to the bank of america sign in page I can not get the sign in section just a blank box.  Then I went to the state website to check my accounts and have only two options, neither of which I need. Am concerned there is something wrong as there are little things wrong at each SITE.  Does this make sense and does anyone have any ideas as to what may be causing this and how I fix it?   Thanks in advanceSorry I have a windows xp, would it even be a windows problem?  Computer turns on and off fine, can navigate around ok, just can't get into things I usually do. Any ideas?  Can't remember how to get into safe mode to see if it is a problem with my computer.  Please someone help me, I am really lost!If I go to bank of america online PERSONAL banking there is just a blue box, nowhere to sign in, since there seems to be lots of little glitches, I am assuming it is my computer....It may be a browser problem. What browser are you using (Including version)? It may be time for an update. What protection apps do you have on that machine ? ?
When was the last time you updated and ran the scans ? ?I see this is marked solved.  How was it solved?Good question...
It's possible as a new User they clicked the wrong item...Someone must have reset it. I don't see this as solved.

Until you get your machine fixed do not use it to login to any bank accounts. Just in case it has a virus (keylogger) you don't want to CAUSE problems with your bank.

What web browser do you use? If its INTERNET explorer try to open the tools drop down and look for options then click the security tab and click the botton to reset all settings. Then try to go to a web site you were having trouble with other then a bank.
