Answer» i bought a dell comp. at a flea market and was told it works . when i TRIED to use the comp. it has a- log on to - page.no matter what i do i cant seem to get by the -log on to- page--ive tried the F8 key many TIMES but no use--any suggestions on how to by-pass this page would be greatly appreciated--thanks--ronrob Is the logon page before or after Windows loads ? ?....it makes a difference. Have you contacted the seller ? ?You will have to contact the person you bought the computer from. If this is a password that you are missing to log onto Windows we can't tell you how to "hack" into it. Do you have any idea how to contact the person you bought it from? I know that may be a LITTLE hard because it was at a flea market, but that is what you will have to do. They should have PROVIDED you the password at the time of purchase.Also...do you have any clue what Windows version it is?If this is indeed, a password, and you can't find the seller to GIVE you that password the only other option is to reinstall a new OS. This may be preferrable because you probably don't want what the previous owner had. This is why we need to know when the prompt is showing up...it may be a Windows password...it may be a system password. When he returns we should know which way to go.
