Solve : Tower and Monitor are NOT cooperating!? |
|
Answer» I have a personal computer that my family uses for games, school work... The other day a little box showed up in the right hand corner saying something about not enough power for a usb connection. Then the monitor when off and I haven't been able to get it to come back on. I disconnected all of the usb cables and tried that. Nothing. I PUT the personal monitor on my business computer and the monitor works fine. It has to be something in the tower. Has this happened to anyone else? I live in a very small TOWN and trying to find someone to look at the computer is almost impossible. The tower seems to be working. When I turn it on there are no weird noises and it comes on smoothly. If anyone can offer some advice I would appreciate it. My family is now using my business computer and it's driving me nuts! Thanks, t.l.k. Just one. Oh Snap. ___ I'll attempt to be helpful now. Try unplugging the power source, and THEN holding the power button in for a good 30 seconds or so. Then plug the power back in, and try turning it on. Or, borrow a video card from someone and install it. -rockIf you try a video card, it will have to be a PCI card. That computer has no AGP slot, per HP Pavilion a705w Desktop PC - Product Specifications |
