Solve : trap 06 exception? |

Answer» i get trap 00000006 exception everytimr i try to boot i can not access set or dos i cannot do anything except go to recovery console can some one give me any help? is this a hard drive problem or BIOS please helpkats deo...You didnt mention your operating system......read this it might help you . kats deo......Are you certain the copy of Xp isnt corrupt ? the bulider has a originial comerrcial copy the one they preinstall on all thier computers they tried to help me out and sent me a copy totry and reinstall kats deo....Your making it very difficult to assist you when you dont answer the questions asked ...... for EXAMPLE .......I asked... "Is this a new pc ?" or "What was going on just prior to this starting .....?" or "Have you used it before without any problems ?" You must have the restore disks that came with your pc....... Then you say " they tried to help me out and sent me a copy totry and reinstall " They sent you what , a copy of what you already had , or something differant? So you see why I'm asking these questions .... dl65 ok here it is from the start yes it is a fairly new computer 3 mo cpu 2.7 celeron mobo p4s55fx+ asrock 1gig of ddr ps2700 ram 80 gig HD radeon 9550 video card cdwr dvd windows xp pro installed from builder it came with xp installed but no disc when i got it after i got on line i got viruses really bad so i had to reinstall a copy of xp i had laying around here it worked fine after that i didn't like having a copy of xp that was not legit it had already been registered couyldn't get 'sp1 or sp2 so i contacted them and they sent me a copy of thier distribitors cd I was trying to reinstall that when all the problems started i was getting messages while INSTALLING that said cannto read such and such file may be corrupt after 5 or 6 of those i t froze up on one of those screens so i reset to reboot that is when i got the trap 00000006 exception i tried to reboot from disc but I could noy get into setup screen or boot menu I though it was because of the error message i did what you said lastnight and it got rid of the exception and read missing ntldr, after all that i decided to try a clean install like i said earlier i could not get into setup so i use the six XP boot disc when it got to the eula it wouldn't go any further after i would press F8 it would go to recovery console but not to install so now i took my hard drive out and installed xp on it using my WIFES computer it loaded fine on hers and worked fine when i put it on mine i get searching for boot record from floppy.. not found searching for boot record from ode-0..ok _ and thats as far as it goes, i hope that explains things alittle better now so now that it seems that XP is fine on my HD why is my mobo unresponsive and why wont it boot? thank you for your help sprry i was sp vauge before i'm really stressed with out my "puter" what should I try next? (after i get ity working again I will just go purchase XP0UPDATE if you cannot get to your setup ,dos, boot menu, ect I recommend you double check your keyboard I spent 3 days trying to access my setup and was unable to the reason being ,I have a key board that came with a cd and had to install cd do do all those fancy things, well with out it being programed it wont access the setup screens so the problem with my mobo was the man behind the ket board duh! I am installing windows xp now as we speak I will let you know if that does the trick thx |
