Solve : Trashcan HELP !?

When I see my trashcan on Desktop(I`m DUTCH,I hope I`m using the correct WORDS!)it does not show when it`s full.It works,but when it`s full it doesn`t show !
How do I correct this ?

The icon changes when it has something in it. that is the "full" icon.

Right-click the desktop, choose "personalize" and then choose "change desktop icons" and try "RESTORE default" (if the two RECYCLE bin images are the same, that is).
