Answer» My Mom's COMPUTER, it's new, (august 2004) HP/Compaq Presario nicely loaded, and she recently started getting this new pop up window that won't go away. It says, and I quote: "The path 'c:\hp\tmp\src\scancam\Hpsw\Setup\TrayApp\TrayApp.msi ' cannot be found. Verify that you have access to this location and try to find the installation package "TrayApp.msi' in a folder from which you can install the product TrayApp"
Neither she nor I know what the heck this means. Obviously neither of us are very computer savvy, so if you could speak slowly we'll be able to hear you BETTER She can open an IE window over it and can surf the web via Road Runner with it going on, so it is just a nuisance on the desktop. What do you advise? Thanks in advance!!do you have a hp scanjet printer/...disable the splash screen..type msconfig...in the RUN box..click the startup tab..and untick the hp scnjet printer..you can still access it form either a short cut on the desktop or via programs..Nope, no HP Scanjet printer, it's a 3yr old Epson printer. There is a program in the start menu that is something like HP Photo something or other. I know my Mom will not have a digital camera in her lifetime, much LESS on this computer, should we uninstall that program? no need to uninstall it just disable it..play safe ...for now... did some one have an hardware instaled on the this pc? webcam/scanner...>scancam or is hp spying on you?>http://www.research.compaq.com/SRC/org/theory.html
