Solve : Triple boot problem.?

Answer» OKAY, i will try and make this as clear as possible.

Okay, well, I had a dual BOOT that was working fine. (XP media CENTER, Vista Ultimate) I decided to do a tri boot which added Xp pro to the list. Well, the problem is, is that when i installed Xp Pro onto the third partition. I did not like it so i uninstalled it. Now it still shows up in boot manager, but i can no longer get to vista.

Any questions, please ask.Why did you even try that?

Didn't you already know that the older
OS has to be done first, then Vista?

XP CDs do not learn. They do not know what the new system is. The old OS has an old version of the loader and will overwrite the new stuff.

Here is a illustration.  Let's say you have an UMBRELLA.  Now you want to push the umbrella up the chimney.  Whatever you do, do not  try to go back down.

You will need to install vista again. Hope you have data backups up to date. Vista and anything after it handles the boot process and menu very differently than in the past...
DLoad and install BCEdit and follow the instructions for the install...
There is an addon app you don't need...it's a Vista Tweaker but you can install it if you like.
Once your done installing POWER down and re-boot...
Then run BCEdit and you will see the options for cleaning up boot items...
Good Luck.
