Solve : Troubleshooting date and time in Windows 7 ???? |
|
Answer» Everytime i start my PC, i have to change the time MANUALLY. by default it shows 1/1/2007. I think BIOS battery may have gone. but what SOFTWARE or patches is available to troubleshoot this PROBLEM ? Anyone who have faced this problem or have any SOLUTION No software required at all...remove all power and replace the BIOS battery...Part # CR2032 available anywhere. You will have to set the correct time upon 1st bootup.I have heard that, there are some software which automatically adjust time when the internet is on as per time zone and it works best as far as internet is on. In short it SYNCHRONIZE with internet timing and one can work normally on PC with proper time. Windows 7 does have the ability to synchronize your computer's clock with an internet based server. Easy to do, read about it here: http://mintywhite.com/windows-7/7maintenance/windows-seven-7-sync-system-clock-with-internet-time-how-to/ However, be aware that if your battery is going down your clock will not stay in sync. To keep the clock in sync you will need to replace the battery. That's the Windows Time settings...not the BIOS system time settings. |
