We all know these



Is there any way to turn it off? I mean really, do we need to be told what they are for? This is for XP, but would like to do the same for Vista.I don't think so.

Why do you WANT to turn them off?Open Windows Explorer, then Tools > Folder Options > View, and uncheck "Show popup descriptions ETC... " near the bottom of the list. Click "Apply to all folders".

Maybe Doc Jellybean, like me, FINDS them irritating and non-informative...Regedit at MS KB307729 will stop all balloon tips.

Correct lol. After having used PC's for more years than I care to remember, I still don't know everything. But I do know what Stand By, Turn Off and Restart means!
