Answer» Does anyone know the access command to turn off the auto-start programs. I remember going to the run window and TYPING in a command like ***config or something and it brought up a window where I COULD change and choose which programs started at boot-up.It's the MSConfig command that you're looking for but there are better means of achieving your goal. Can I ASK what you want to disable?Thanks. I want to turn off some of the background programs that are running and DOGGING down start-up.HijackThis is the dé facto standard program for this but be careful what you disable and ensure that HijackThis is run from it's own folder. That WAY you can keep track of the backups it creates. If you have any doubts whatsoever, post back with details.
