Answer» I am a baby boomer (60), am COMPUTER illiterate, w/ a new Dell vostros computer. Is there a tutorial on the internet any where that I can download that is comprehensive......from beginner to advanced?? I don't know whether you'll find any downloadable "comprehensive" tutorial. I think you're expecting too much there. I can't name a specific online tutorial but you may want to peruse some of the ones here: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=windows+tutorials+for+beginners&aq=2&oq=Windows+tutor
Also, I suggest books or videos from a library or purchase of a book, perhaps one of the Dummies series, such as: http://books.barnesandnoble.com/search/results.aspx?WRD=Windows+vista+for+dummies
And, see whether a computer user's group exists in your area. They can be good source for novice users to LEARN how to use a computer.for Soybean: Thank-you for the info. From the link you gave me I found another one that is totally comprehensive. It is (for ANYONE interested) www.homeandlearn.co.uk. C.H.F. is a really COOL PLACE ____acreegeorge17!This smells like SPAM... My sniffer noticed something odd here, too, when he posted his reply to my first post. There's nothing free on that site but it's laid out rather nice...At the website I went to it's true that they wanted you to buy the books, but it's also true that the complete instructions for almost everything for windows XP, (os)' was there. I downloaded ---computers for beginners, word, outlook, excel, javascript, and 2 or 3 other programs. tthey were complete, step by step instructions. From your replys ,it sounds like you people are maybe just a little bit jaded? Thanks anyway, G.A.Jaded?
The top of the web site says Free computer Tutorials and it is a complete lie. That's a bit jaded, no?
