Solve : Tweaking the Registry?

Answer»

This post is about a page from Tweaks.com ( www.tweaks.com/articles/36746/brand-your-copy-of-windows-xp/ ). I am slightly concerned with the code. I am not familiar in the least with how to modify the registry via code and this is totally boggling me. I just want to make sure that the code does as it says it does. Can anyone look at it and confirm what it does?I am the forum admin at tweaks.com and I can assure you that we check all tweaks before posting them. However, if you want to be safe you should always create either or both a disk image and a registry backup before making a major registry change.Yeah, ALWAYS BACKUP first!

Why would you want to do this anyway?Quote from: kpac on August 13, 2009, 11:51:33 AM

SOUNDS like a cool idea and my mom's fiancé says the computer isn't mine even though I got it as a present. Let us know how it goes. If it works successfully, I might consider doing that on my HP. It will work fine Quote from: Helpmeh on August 13, 2009, 12:05:37 PM

what sucks is that if he has the receipt (or credit card statements) and they split up, it is his. no MATTER what.

If it came from someone else then you can tell him to STFU.
