Answer» Hi, I was using my computer (window xp) yesterday and it suddenly it hangs. When i restart my computer, it comes out a message ultra DMA mode-5,S.M.A.R.T. CAPABLE BUT DISABLED and keeps on restarting after it comes to the WELCOME page. However it can still GO into the safe-mode, so i figure that it is not the problem with hardware but software. I looked for solutions online and WENT on to enable the S.M.A.R.T in BIOS but the problem still goes on. Can anyone help me? Thank You Best Regards, IcySkullz Let's rule out a problem with the HD. Boot to the Recovery CONSOLE and run: CHKDSK /r
