Answer» I'm having trouble with my C and E drive. I use to be able to access it by double clicking on it but now when I do that, a pop up appears and says “c:\ is not a valid win32 application. The only way for me to open it now is to right click on the drive and click “open”. Is there anyway for me to fix it?You could try this...
Remove any autorun.inf files (may be hidden) from the root folders of those drives which you cannot open. Reboot several times.
i just tried this but it doesn't seem to help. any other ways?Almost certainly caused by malware. See here.
Good luckreally? well thank for the help. i look though the link u gave me and i am pretty sure it not "a file is corrupt, bad, or missing", "file is not designed for your version of Windows" and "hardware incompatibility" so that only leave "file is a virus, worm, or other malware file'. but if that so than how would i fix it? someone told me to try CREATING a file named "drive.reg" and put this in it
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Drive\shell] @="Open"
it seem like the right solution but it didn't seem to work. I sure do hope I'm not sending you off on a wild goose chase.
See here.
