Answer» My age is showing-! Slow down, what's the problem? Thanks for the reply--Im not a -guru hahah I have IE-6---windows XP serv-pak 2 The fustrating thing is The user on the other half can access all the video- I cant pin down exactly when the problem began--I got the wife a new computer with bells and wistles and the computer shop had this one to swap data to the new one ! sometime there after i ran Norton and superspyware distroyer next time I went to view the sites -I got a window that said I need abobe flash player !!!??? Funny it worked before ! I tried to see a u-tube link and I got a window NEED to have -Java script-I even downloaded a new version and rebooted -same thing ------ Now tell me If you like this idea= This pc has 2 opperating systems--win-EX home and WIN XP pro===IN CHINESE for the wife ! And Both devided into hers and mine -user name - NOW she has her very own pc and I wonder if I might just as well -TOTALLY wipe this one out and reload it as I have the xp disc i got with it ! I hesitate to do so as her side still works for video and I have a bunch of photos and work saved -.. But it would be nice if it just had 1 person on it . I dont mean to be a pest --some on this board seem to have short fuses-- I hate to take it to the shop as they wanted $75.00 to -clean it up and -reload it ----i relise they getpaid for there knowelege==BUT I like to learn things myself Thanks for the reply==Randy I had the exact same problem. I then went to help on the Adobe site. I found a section why won't my videos PLAY. I then found a link to uninstall, which i did. I then reinstalled flash player and can now view vids on You tube!!!! Now a happy guy. Let me know if this works for you. also if you need the links, get in touch. PaulTry uninstalling and reinstalling the flash player, as suggested by pdreeves, and see if that helps. If not, then a fresh install may be the easy option. MAKE SURE you have an original and genuine XP Cd though, and BACK UP anything you want to keep. A fresh install will wipe any crap you have on there and let you start again, often increasing performance and reducing annoyances. I also notice you have both Home and Pro - are they both legal? If so, do you need both? For a fresh install, I'd recommend using Pro, as it has a few extra FEATURES etc. Remember though - if it's not legal you'll RUN into problems. If you can't back up stuff or don't want to reload software etc, try uninstalling/reinstalling both Java and flash player. I wouldn't bother with the PC shop, you can get free help here Post back and tell us if this works, what you plan to do, etc.PDREEVS-Thanks so much -! I will FOLLOW your advise -! Calum==It shure seems like a flash player prob. I cant load flash--I will try to Uninstall it--and then reload--NO=== im shure the winXP-PRO. Is a copy It came from china ..... i will get on the flash player tonight -and let you know How I do----IF I go to do a total wipe out and reload --Would you be kind enough to [hold my hand ]hahahah-I love doing things with the computer But there Is a whole bunch to Learn ! PS-> i went to another yahooo video link and it came up with a flash player in-op warning --I would think the 2nd user would have to access the same player to make the vids play on the side 2! Thanks again _RandyI FIXED IT --I FIXED IT --I FIXED IT --4 HRS WORK --BUT I DID IT YYeeaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy Thanks for the advise guys ---Very much apprecieated ---REALLY!!!!!!
