Solve : Unable to Connect/Find Wireless Networks?

Answer»

Like the topic says my laptop no longer finds/detects wireless ROUTERS in the area. It was working fine a couple of days ago before it blue screened with a corrupted GDI32.dll file. I replaced it with one off the live CD and EVERYTHING is fine there but now it wont connect. I've tried everything under the sun to fix the issue, short from replacing the onboard hardware and REINSTALLING. Here's a quick list....

  • CONNECTING straight to the router and updating drivers(Latest drivers installed)
  • Uninstalling drivers and manually getting the latest drivers from the Dell website(failed with an error stating it couldn't install on this system when it's the exact card it was designed for)
  • Automatically installing drivers via the internet(worked but problem still persists)
  • Booting into safe mode and trying then(problem still persists)
  • Disabling firewalls(Problem still persists)
When I first boot up it says that WINDOWS cannot configure the wireless as another program is set to when that was never the case. It then says to enable the WZC service to allow windows to configure it, but upon starting said service it still doesn't show any wireless networks in the area. Yes I have tried turning the wireless switch on and off still nope.

So am I forced to reinstall? Or is it possible I can save myself from transferring a 30GB My Documents?Intel wireless?

If so the intel wireless app is controlling the adapter.

See if you have the program:

Start - programs- intel ...

If so it should give you the option to enable the wirelessThanks for the reply but no such folder exists. What's your Startup type default on WZC?
