Answer» Well, first off my computer has been running extremely slow ever since I got the internet re-activated (approximately...10 minutes ago ) and my mom said I should clean out the cookies. So I went to the start menu where it was on my other computer, but i can't find it anywhere. I searched for it and everything. Where is it and why is my comp going so slow?Cookies won't slow down your computer. Cookies won't slow down your computer. I mean I clicked on the internet explorer and it took about 5 minutes to fully load. And everytime i went to a different site I had to wait another 5 minutes. Also when i watched videos they froze frequently.I guess I should also mention what happened today. When I logged in, it took about 10 minutes for all my desktop items to load. A window popped up that said "Loading Personal Settings: Microsoft Outlook 6" which has never appeared before. Also, two command prompt boxes opened but they disappeared before I could copy down what they said. Again, this has never happened before.So, you are having general computer slowness. Then a year LATER we got internet and cable from Brighthouse Networks. Unfortunately, my father was fired and we had to get the internet turned off 9they took the modem back). So I continues typing and drawing for 2 more years. But now we got it back. It seems to be getting better with each day but whenever the screensaver pops up, the computer freezes for a little while it loads. What are computer specs: processor speed, amount of RAM, hard drive size/free SPACE? What kind of security tools do you use (antivirus, firewall)? |
