Solve : Unable to get on the internet?

Answer»

I just bought an HP laptop running Vista. I am able to connect to the wireless network but when I try to get on the internet, I receive an ERROR STATING the DNS could not find the Website. I am trying to get onto AOL and Yahoo. If I am able to get on the internet, I am usually kicked off with a few minutes. I never LOSS the network connection. I have a desktop on the same network that does not lose the internet connection. I have Verizon DSL and use a Linksys router. I have contacted HP, Verizon, and Linksys and no one seems to know what the problem is. I have even trying a system restore with no luck. I have checked the drivers on the laptop and one has an ! next to it, but when I try to download UPDATES, it tells me that everything is up to date. I am unable to download anything from HP as the computer will not allow me to stay on the internet for long enough. I am also unable to have any tech support remote access the computer for the same reason. This is the second laptop that I have purchased in the past 2 weeks and I experienced this problem with both laptops. I have done everything tech support has advised. I went to the Vista website and tried their suggestions as well. Has anyone experienced this? Any suggestions on how to correct this problem? What is the Exclamation Mark next to? Is it the same for both computers?

You said that both computers have the same problem. Is there any other computer you can test it with?

Also, to MAKE sure it's not a problem with the computer itself, can you test them somewhere else with internet?
