The link to Microsoft well that just lost me. we do not have backup COMPUTER at all! What we have is a new but French LAPTOP with win 7 installed and a new xp pro cd. I gather from what i have READ that there may be missing drivers in the mother board is this correct and if so how can this be corrected. Thanks Kevin. You'll have to get them from Packard Bell. Maybe you can get the original CD from them if you supply them your serial number. How far do you get? You should check packard bell's website to make sure that they have XP drivers for that computer before installing. If they don't have drivers for XP then you'll probably be stuck with win7.All sorted now.
