Solve : Unable to load my computer after password?

Answer»

Not sure what happened but my computer was always getting shut down due to not having enough memory when I was accessing myspace accounts. I was always able to restart and surf the web, but unable to access certain myspace accounts. Well I was turning on my computer and put in my password and the windows thing came up SAYING everything was loading, my personal settings was being loaded, but then nothing was loaded. My tool bar at the bottom of the screen is not visible the icons for my computer, internet, recycle bin..., was not visible. My mouse arrow is visible but nothing else is. Does anyone KNOW what the problem is and how can it be fixed. I have no idea whats wrong. :-?How about some details on the machine and any spyware virus protection being used?

I assume it used to work so what has changed? Can you boot in safemode and do a system restore?

http://www.windowsreinstall.com/winxphome/howto/lauchsystemrestore.htmThe computer is a Toshiba lap top. Not sure on the spy ware. I have the standard virus scan that comes with windows. But I am unable to access anything with my computer. When I do reboot in safe mode all it says is safe mode at the corners of the screen and that is all. I can see the mouse arrow move around but nothing else. This problem started after being at some my space accounts that require more memory and my computer would shut down immediately saying not enough memory to support page. Then the computer would reboot. But now nothing comes up on the screen after rebooting. Quote

There is no standard virus scan that comes with Windows.Well I don't know the virus scan all I know is it is an anti virus scan. Unable to know what kind because I cannot access my computer. All I have is a blank screen.Do you have a real Windows CD to reinstall with, if needed? Quote

I've never heard of internet crashing from not enough memory, but have SEEN similar proposterous messages...My guess would be the sites your looking at are feeding you spywhere... be carfull when any website prompts you to install an unknown file/files to see their page... what ever is hiding behind the curtain cant be worth the risk...

I would start by locating your windows/recover disks as this may be a valuable key in the steps to come... Quote

Windows may doesn't come with Anti-virus but I know some computers shipped with windows have addition software built into the computer and or recovery disks that is not standard on retail xp versions...

It only makes sense one would come with anti-virus, But I could be wrong...

In my view,u can uninstall something procedures those u can't USE in the safe mode !And then restart u computer again! Quote

Agreed Patio...

On a serious note... when you boot windows and push f8 for safe mode there is also an option to boot from "last working configuration" Have you tried this?

I killed my comp one time messing with autoruns, no safe mode nothing it would just go through bios and restart. I used "Last WORKIN config" and it saved my A$$... Quote
