Hi there, I have a Windows 7 HP laptop and am having issues logging in. I think some files MAY be corrupt because whenever I try to login it displays the 'User profile failed the logon' message.

Ive seen on GOOGLE that a system restore is the best option, Ive tried to do this by going into Safe Mode, but there is no 'System Protection' tab, so it will not allow me to create a restore point.

Ive also tried a Startup Repair but it didnt fix the issue.


Any advice would be really appreciated!

Thanks so much. Did you try the F11 button on startup which causes it to go into system recovery mode?I recommend:

Going My Computer -> Right-Click Drive -> PROPERTIES -> Tools Tab -> Error-Check then restart your computer in order for it to start READING for any errors and fixing them.Quote from: Hakezu on July 19, 2015, 08:13:41 AM
