Answer»

Last week I have installed Windows7 7600 Enterprises trail version on my laptop (Acer Aspire 2920z, 160GB HITACHI Hard Disk (with 2 Partition of 49GB (Windows 7) and 100 GB (DATA) and 2GB RAM)

Windows worked smoothly for 3-4 days only

Now it’s hanging up in Windows 7 Bootup Screen in normal mode.

While booting in safe mode after loading some FILES it shows a Blue Screen for a second and restarts.

Using Windows 7 Memory Diagnostic TOOL No error are found, I have also tested Memtest86 v.2.0 for memory problems but no error found

gOS Live CD showing Hard Disk but not able to mount it,
Partition Editor of gOS is not able to format/delete/modify Hard Disk.

Ubuntu Live CD & Gparted Live CD are not showing Hard Disk

While installing XP it’s not showing Hard Disk

While Installing Vista/Windows7 it hangs at Windows Logo bootup screen

Drive FITNESS Test Result
Quick = OK
Advanced = OK
Excerciser = OK

While erasing boot sector/hardisk

Failure code : 0x75 - Defective Device Component Failure

How can I recover my DATA from 100 GB Partition of m this HD and Completely earase my 49 GB partition.

Please help From what you're saying it certainly sounds like a bad hd. You might want to go to the hd manufacturer's website & download their drive utility to test it.Quote from: Allan on October 28, 2009, 05:45:48 AM
