Solve : Uninstall Previous Drivers for XP? |
|
Answer» I know to download the new drivers but dont install, then uninstall the previous version and when i restart install the new ones. But i have a couple questions. First of all how will you be able to see whats on your computer? since the display drivers arent there how will you even be able to see to install the new ones? and Second of all what if you only have one driver installed? like when you right click and go to properties > settings and there's only one display, no option for other display's. First of all how will you be able to see whats on your computer? since the display drivers arent there how will you even be able to see to install the new ones? If you uninstall the driver for your video hardware Windows will still be able to use default VGA diver. What do you mean by "only one driver", and "other displays"? Quote (Would the uninstall and install new drivers work for a desktop? If you had the right driver, yes. Quote an old desktop? See previous answer. ok thanks i'll do this tomarow. and nevermind about the ''only 1 display'' thing.also WHERE do i uninstall my current driver at? Quote from: MizzRock on September 06, 2008, 10:26:12 PM also WHERE do i uninstall my current driver at? You can do it via Device Manager. Thanks guys! you really helped me understand this. What i was talking about was when i go to settings and look under the screen's that say 1 and 2 i only have once option there, i used to have two. Im on my laptop now and when i go there it says 1. multiple monitors on nvidia geforece fx go5200 and when i click the arrow another display option shows up it says 2. default monitor on nvidia GEFORCE fx go5200, Does it matter if i have 2options there? cause i believe i had 2options on the desktop before all the WEIRD stuff started happening.I don't fully understand what you mean. Do you mean this?
