Solve : Uninstall problem.?

Answer»

Hi all

I can't uninstall MediaFire Desktop, "uninstall.dat file cannot be found" MESSAGE.  When I double click the file in programs there is no uninstall file.  When I right click the file then delete "can't be completed because the folder or a file in it is open in another program" message.  Other third party uninstallers have same problem.  Downloading it again and installing doesn't work either.  Any help would be appreciated.Try Revo

MediaFire Desktop ALLOWS you to access the functions of the MediaFire cloud service from your computer. It is designed to facilitate the file uploads to your online account and provide you with sharing options.

hi, I've just tried revo. It removed it from control panel>programs list.  In c drive programs there still is a Mediafire Desktop file which can't be deleted, I get message "can't be completed because the folder or a file in it is open in another program". My pc is not infected.  I've already used MAM, SAS, Spyhunter and Regcure.  It's not causing any problems, pc is running as it should. Quote from: Geek-9pm on November 27, 2014, 01:50:28 PM

That's the program.  It was free.  Revo uninstaller managed to uninstall it but there still is a leftover file in C programs that can't be deleted. Message "can't be completed because a folder or a file in it is open in another program", which it isn't.Use Move on Boot to get rid of it then... Quote from: patio on November 28, 2014, 07:18:34 AM

delete files that are locked EMCO MoveOnBoot enables you to move, delete or rename files the next time you boot your computer. This can be very useful if the files you need to process are locked, and cannot be renamed, moved or deleted while Windows is running.
