Hi! I'll get straight to the point. I've bought a brand new laptop in Spain and it came with WINDOWS Vista Home Basic, Spanish. But without the instalation CD.

Is there any possible way to remove it completely so I can install my Vista Ultimate? =/This will erase the hdd.

NOTE: This will render all files on the hard drive irrecoverable.

That's exactly what I was searching for. Judging from what I've READ, will wipe-out my hdd completely and it's safe, right? a) It will securely wipe the hard drive.

b) "Safe" is in the eye of the beholder It will not physically damage the hard drive.It's not safe for the data currently on the hard drive

Right after this wipe-out step, I can safely install Windows Vista Ultimate, without a problem?
