Solve : unwanted messages?

Answer»

Hello
I keep getting a MESSAGE that is "junk".
In attempting to eliminate it,I inadvertantly tabbed a legimite mail entry as "junk".
It has to be a simple thing to do,but I've been stymied for three days,so far.
Please help.
FrankWe'll need to know what e-mail client you're using before we could give you the steps to correct this.SORRY,but I'm unsure just what a "client" is.
I have AOL and the problem is in
"IM" instant messenger.
FrankYour basic problem is with email, right? So, what does AOL's IM have to do with this?A "client" would be the name of the program you're using to send and receive e-mail. For example, you could be using Microsoft Outlook or you could be on a browser window to send and receive e-mail through an online service such as Hotmail. Because you're using AOL I'd assume you're using the default e-mail client. Is this correct?Hello
This problem has nothing to do with email.
My AOL offers three types of communication:
"Mail","email" and "IM"(instant messanger).
My problem is with"IM"
FrankYou're providing conflicting information here.

And now you're saying it a IM problem. You don't receive mail via an IM client.Deerpark
Our problem is about semantics.
My problem has always been with "messages";that is the title of the post.
My only MENTION of "mail"was that I inadvertantly labeled an entry there, trying to eliminate the irritating "message"in IM(instant messenger).
My only mention of"email"was that it also was not involved.
FrankFrankie, sorry we were confused. Are you using AIM as your IM?

If it is AIM. To manage who's blocked in AIM or unblock in AIM follow the below steps.

1. In AIM click Edit.
2. Click Settings.
3. Click Privacy.
4. Within Privacy you'll be able to adjust all users who are blocked.

Also if that doesn't help check this link out:

Hello
Thanks for your help
I accessed the IM privacy place, and CHANGED my file to "only my buddy list"
That should solve the problem.
FrankKeep in mind also that IM is the newest most popular venue for SPREADING baddies on the web these days so button it down as best you can and practice safe surfing.
By no means open any attachments unless from a trusted source.
