Solve : update downloads? |

Answer» this computer is a DELL 2400 w/pentium 4 . i have windows XP home. i have set up for automatic updates from windows and for the last 2 hours, the little yellow shield-shape with the exclamation mark in it has been sitting next to the CLOCK in the bottom corner of the SCREEN......and when i put the cursor on it, the TINY window says "download updates 22%". it's definitely stuck there at 22 % and messes up the games i'm trying to play. how can i un-stick the danged thing....or cancel the download ....or what???Restart the computer? Click on the Automatic Updates tab and hit Turn Off Automatic Updates. (not recommended whoever)You should always turn this back on after you restart your computer again, of course... |
