I have Norton Antivirus on my computer and i have not had any problems with it up until about a week ago. I had the 2010 VERSION but it let me upgrade it to the 2011 version for free and that is when i started to have problems. When i am on sites like Facebook or Youtube the computer will start getting really loud and then it will shut itself down completely. It does it a lot when i am trying to play games or watch a video. Is my Norton the problem or is my computer infected? It might be a problem with your hardware.

When was the last time you blew the dust out of your computer with a can of compressed air?This only happens when you are on the internet and then at CERTAIN sites?The noise is a really loud humming SOUND and then it will shut off. I am not too computer savvy so i am not sure if it is suppose to MAKE that type of sound. I have never used a can of compressed air to clean it just a swiffer duster. I have a desktop Dell computer Windows xp 2002 version.Quote
