Solve : Upgraded to win 7 - shuts down - HELP?

Answer»

Hello
I have UPGRADED my window vista (64) to window 7 (clean upgrade).
Ever since then my computer shuts down or give me the blue "death screen"
I wanted to reformat the drive but now I can't access the vista recovery partition drive- it shows that its has no info but its not empty.
I chatted with microsoft tech and e told me to just re upgrade (which sounded strange) I did and it got worst.
What should I do I have no INSTALLATION CD.
Thank you, RonnieDownload BlueScreenView:

==================================================Do you THINK I might be able to roll back the computer to vista 64 (what came with the computer) I downloaded the vista from microsoft all 726 MB. If I can you tell me if there is a good website with easy instructions. I can't access the recovery partition that came with this computer.I don't know anything about downloaded copies of Vista.

When you say "clean upgrade" do you mean you formatted and installed Windows 7 from scratch or did you upgrade an existing Vista installation?

After installing W7 did you install an anti virus utility?I didn't format vista, I upgraded vista with custom install win 7 which erased DATA and programs and kept the old files in windows.old file for rcovery.
I installed all my other programs and norton 360 from symantec.
Okay. Have you downloaded and installed all Windows 7 drivers for your hardware, starting with the chipset driver?well you really got me with the chipset word. I am a graphic person not a super tech like you (One can only wish).
I POPPED in the window 7 upgrade and followed instructions. Now it get stuck up on shutdown as well.
I just about to paint it blue and toss it to the ocean - before I do it is it possible to roll it back to vista by giving it to someone to format it for me?After installing any Windows OS on any system you need to install the chipset driver followed by all other hardware drivers. You can obtain the chipset driver at either your computer manufacturer's website or the website of your motherboard manufacturer. It is strange that the upgrade system didn't mention it.  I don't know even how to find who is the chipset.
