Solve : Upgrading RAM in my Dell?

Answer»

I THOUGHT my slowing system and speeding up fan (and freezing) might mean its time to add memory

I went to 4Allmemory.com and did their quick scan of my Dell Dimension
It said 2 slots were open for 512 MB each.
It then recommended I get 1 GB DDR2 to install.
But when I checked my Dell manual it said you should always buy 2 modules to put in
Should I cancel the order and buy 2 smaller modules or or will it still work as well if I just install the 1 GB ?So just out of intertest 'how fast can you run?' Quote from: PS STEVE on May 25, 2009, 06:24:03 PM

Did you order two 512 sticks or one 1GB stick? Did you order it from the same website that scanned your COMPUTER?

You system slowing down might be caused by DUST. When was the last time you blew it out with a can of compressed air?
