Answer» you need settings like I showed you in the images I posted. Otherwise, you can't do what I am doing. And what I am doing is exactly what you wanted: clear picture that is not fuzze or small. ... printscreen function only allows you to take screenshot of screen as is, not allowing you to zoom in on just the one part of the screen you are interested in.That's true but ... Quote from: soybean on July 26, 2008, 02:13:40 PM Paint can be used to cut out any part of a screen print. Screenhunter is just tool that may make such tasks easier.http://www.autozone.com/shopping/repairGuide.htm?pageId=0900c152800a7698 I'm not sure if that link worked? Just click on any of the engine wiring diagrams. If your using screenhunter, with the capture set on, (rectangular area), if you move the box over the wiring diagram, the IMAGE in the box, is very much out of focus, if you go ahead and click capture, then bring up the capture screen, the screen is blank, nothing there. You can capture the diagram or part of it using (active window) capture. The version of screenhunter I'm using, is the free version, not the purchased version. Maybe there is a difference, I don't know? I don't need to use screenhunter on those diagrams, their GIF, I can do anything with those. Some databases use pdf files, they cause me some problems, because some sites don't allow pdf files to be uploaded, I'm learning. As far as editing files, If I can find a cropping tool, I can do some editing. If there is no cropping tool, I'm lost as far as editing. I am still doing searches on editing and playing with everything. thanksI'm not sure why you posted that link since it's not a PDF document, so it seems unrelated to your topic, "uploading pdf file to internet". And, I have yet to see a PDF on autozone.com. I believe all their installation guides are HTML, i.e. web pages. Besides, you should not be trying to use graphics from autozone.com without their permission. It's a violation of copyright. See http://www.autozone.com/termsConditions/rulesAndRegs.htmThanks for the headsup, I didn't realize that was copywrited info. I was trying to list a public site where anybody with a computer could go and look at wiring diagrams. I realized those diagrams weren't pdf, I was trying to make the point, that using screenhunter with the rectangular capture won't work on those diagrams. That rectangular capture won't work on pdf files either. At least, I couldn't get it to work. Some of the databases I go to are pdf files and the info is copywrited, password protected, that's why I didn't post the site. Now that I think about it, I'm not sure if the database with the pdf files is copywrited material, I don't remember seeing a disclaimer. I guess I'll have to look. It's an ebscohost database, most large libraries carry this automotive database, If you live in the same county as the library that carries this database, I believe you can access this database from your home computer for free. If you live outside the county, you can still gain access to the database by paying a small yearly fee. I have seen some copywrite information that says, as long as you don't make a profit from using their information, they don't care. From what I have read of the autozone copywrite, you are correct. thanks for all your helpThanks for the reply, I didn't notice your post earlier. I wasn't trying to be rude or anything, I'm an amatuer at this stuff. My kids showed me everything I know about computers, how to turn it on and off, surf in between. My kids are all growed and moved on, for me to learn this new stuff, is like trying to learn a foreign language. For an old dog, I can still hunt, I just don't pick things up quite as fast. I read all your posts, I tried everything that you suggested, using the rectangular capture, the image in the box is not focused, the diagram itself is clear and easy to read. I listed the link for the autozone site, that has wiring diagrams, it was just the easiest site I knew of, to look at wiring diagrams. Soybean told me according that sites copywrite info, it's illegal to make a copy of any of their info, I don't know what to tell you about that. Those are not pdf files, they are gif, but using the screenhunter with (rectangular area) capture on either type file, the result is the same. The VIEW in the small box is not focused. If I go ahead and click capture and bring up the capture screen, the screen is blank. I guess, I'm doing something wrong, just don't know what. So far, I've MADE alot of posts, taken-up alot of space, given alot of info, that you folks probably didn't want or need. Done one or two things that I guess was illegal, that I didn't realize. Maybe I better STOP. thanks for your help.you can post those diagrams on your website if you don't make money for it and you give credit that it is autozone's diagrams you're taking and you have link to the original. I'd not be worried about that. Thanks for the reply. Talking about screenhunter, I'm using the free version. I did notice on the jpeg setting, there was a quality control setting, numbered 1-100, it is set on 90. On the free version, that is not an active control, I can't change it. Maybe that's why I can't capture anything using the rectangular capture. The active window capture will work. It was fun to play with. I've been playing with the prtscm key also, it's all interesting. mcxeb52!, Soybean, kpac and everybody has given me a lot of info. thanksno problem You might compare gadwin printscreen also if you want. I personally haven't used it but my dad says he uses it and likes it. |
