I am not sure if this is what you mean, but if you insert your flash drive and all your folders are changed to shortcuts, then you probably have the shortcut virus. You can use your AV to scan the drive and remove it, but don't use malware bytes, it doesn't detect this virus for some reason. The reason I am telling you about this is because my flash drive got infected with this twice and I removed it manually, so if that is the problem and you NEED manual removal instructions, I can give you some. |
