Answer» --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This morning I logged on to my user accout and FOUND that it had been completely reset to default. All my files are gone, I have to reinstall programs etc. It came up with an error: Your user account has been changed... or something, I can't quite remember exactly what it said.
Is there any way to restore all my stuff? Maybe, if you tell us what the EXACT message is.I really can't remember, I didn't take a good look at it (stupid, I know), and the message does not reappear.Well, if the message is gone, there is nothing to worry about, isn't it?I have the same problem. Logged onto ONE of my PCs yesterday and the user account was completely reset to all the defaults. At first I couldn't find my files either but eventually I found them (I think all of them but not sure).
How in the heck did it reset itself? It wasn't even connected to anything as I have to change all the peripherals when I switch PCs.
I've thought it might be having a problem lately as my problem PC doesn't recognize any USB storage devices (tried 2 portable hard drives and MULTIPLE flash).
