Solve : User Account Issues?

Answer»

Hi, ok whenever I log onto my Account on XP it seems to take forever for my STARTUP programs to load.  However when I get onto the other account on XP, everything loads up fast.

Why is it doing this or what can I do to fix it.  I have ran spyware scans, antivirus, defragment, diskcleanup.

Any suggestions?Ahol:

Try checking the running processes to see if there are any differences between your main user account and the others:

1. Press Ctrl, Alt, DEL together one time to open the Windows Task Manager.
2. In Windows Task Manager, choose the Processes tab.
3. Click the Image Name button at the TOP of that column to sort the process names alphabetically.
4. Write all the process names down.

Now log off your main user account and log on with the other account and check the processes there to compare.  Write down the ones that are in your main user account but not in the other user account and post a reply here so we may look them up for you.  It's probable that those processes are linked to the cause of the slower boot time, though there are many other possible causes.

Doc<---- Is waiting for a reply so he may look up the processes and find what program or virus is the cause.

<----- Has fallen asleep.  Pls wake him up if a reply arrives.
Z Z Z Z ZI think the ahol is not coming back.   Yeah, i think i was just dreaming that he would!

Darn I was hoping we would get rid of that kind by making registrations necessary...
