Solve : User Logon?

Windows XP HOME.
Added a new user, but when system boots it automatically goes straight in past the log on screen.
Checked users settings and COULD not find difference between them.
Switching users accessed the log on screen.
Deleted the original user then the system hung just before log on screen.
Recreated the user and am back at the beginning where it bypasses the log on screen.
Please helpDo you have "fast user switching" enabled?

Check to see these options are enabled in the user account.

Control Panel -- User Accounts -- Change the way users log on or off.
