Solve : vbs.searchwww?

Answer»

I downloaded a MS Service Pack update. I don't know if there's a connection, but ever since I have  windows opening from http://vbs.searchwww.com/vbs.cgi.
When opened they contain the message "Your computer may be infected with Spyware! Click here to scan your computer for FREE."
I arttempted to block the website through my firewall.  Now it says the site is blocked but it still attempts to ACCESS my computer 20 - 30 times a day.

I also get a message asking for server rights from udall.exe ? Immediately after I close that I get a message asking for server rights for abetterinternet.com.
I have said NO to both repeatedly but I get them several times a day.
Does  anyone know of this problem, or have a solution?
It's extremely annoying!!!!!

Thanks..........  Claudiawhat windows do you use...and  what isp is used.... aol more data...if you can...the site you posted did nothing to my pc?and i checked it out..or is this the site thats bugging you!>http://abetterinternet.com/ Quote

To uninstall SearchWWW, remove the "Search" or "Search.vbs" shortcut from your Start -> Programs -> Startup folder and reboot your computer.

I blocked the websites cookies and pressed cancel when it asked to perform the so called scan.. That is what came up, I doubt that actually removes all entries but you can try.I am using WinXP, my ISP is Adelphia, a cabe connection.  My firewall is Zone Alarm Pro and I use AdAware ad blocking, Norton Internet Security and Norton Systems Works.  I have a Dell, 80GB HD and 384MB Ram.  I have removed any REFERENCE to vbs.searchwww from my startup and from anywhere else it appeared on the system.  But this MORNING vbs.searchwww had attemped to open 24 times during the night.

The 3 things are bugging me!  Just the fact that I have to close or cancel them so many times a day. (the vbs.search, the udall.exe and the abetterinternet.com.)
Thanks for replying!!!.......Have you tried removing these files manually?go into Zonealarm and click on disallow for the programs that you don't want to have server rights.... It'll stop bothering ya there.

Go into Control Panel-> Add or Remove Programs

Remove any programs that you believe are junk or UNFAMILIAR...... if that doesn't work......

Run a search for udall.exe and erase it..... same goes with abetterinternet.com...... since it asked for server rights... it's probably an app...
